Scripture Union Daily Guide 25 September 2026 Outline

The final fall of idolatrous and promiscuous Babylon is significant enough to prompt great rejoicing in heaven. It celebrates the true judgment of God and the vengeance of the blood of saints on the wicked. There is a loud noise from a great multitude. The twenty-four elders (Revelation 4:4) joined and all who fear God are entreated to join in worship of the One who sits on the throne. Heaven’s greatest praise word, Hallelujah, celebrating the Lamb’s victory, is used only here in all of the New Testament. We have a duty to burst into jubilant praise, whenever God has given us a breakthrough.

See another reason for the celebration in Revelation 19:7. Amid rejoicing, there are standards to maintain. The church must be ready for the marriage feast of the Lamb. We must put on righteousness through personal integrity, godly character and moral courage to stand against corruption. Our garment must be bright and visible to attract others to Christ (Matthew 5:14) and pure or clean (nothing unclean can enter there). Paul exhorted the Corinthian church on this in 2 Corinthians 11:2. We are betrothed to Christ, and it is hoped that our garments meet the heavenly specifications. Otherwise, we are doomed forever, like Babylon.

And So:
Endeavour to be properly clothed for the final marriage feast with the Master.
